Scheduling

Full Time and Part Time Guards

Lifeguards will be scheduled at their facility for 15-25 hours per week for part time or 30-40 hours per week for full time. The pool manager will post the schedule two weeks in advance and all employees can view their schedule on Paychex.​

Sync Your Schedule

If you used Google Calendar or another calendar app, you can automatically sync your work schedule to see it on your calendar app. Just click "sync my schedule" on the Paychex app.

Vacation Time

All lifeguards and managers have 14 total vacation days (not to exceed 8 consecutive days). Employees must submit their vacation time in Paychex before the schedule is written for the days they will be out. This can be completed through the Paychex app or web terminal. Lifeguards are not responsible for finding substitutes if they submit vacation days on time and do not exceed the maximum number of days.​

Time Off Requests
Outside of vacation time, employees can request days/times off by clicking the "availability" tab in the Paychex app or web terminal before the schedule is written. The manager will be able to view these requests and will do their best to accommodate requests while writing the schedule, however it is not a guarantee that these requests will be granted. If a request is not granted, the employee can talk with coworkers or substitutes to find coverage. Any schedule changes or substitutes must be approved by the manager.
