New Hire Steps
Every new hire must complete the following steps prior to Memorial Day-
1. Submit an application and attend a group interview
2. Sign your employee agreement (sent via email from RightSignature)
3. Complete the Paychex onboarding process
4. Obtain an American Red Cross lifeguard certification
5. Complete the work permit steps (if you are 15)
6. Attend your staff's preseason meeting

Paychex Onboarding
Paychex is the payroll system used by Crystal Aquatics. Every employee must complete the onboarding process, including providing up to date information and setting up direct deposit, before their first day of work. The onboarding information will be sent via text and via email from noreply@paychex.com. Once you being working , you will clock in and out on Paychex for every shift.

Lifeguard Certification Course
Every new hire must obtain and upload to Paychex an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification before their employment period begins (typically Memorial Day Saturday). Crystal Aquatics will run lifeguard certification courses May 18-21, 2024 at numerous different locations. Work Permit Process
In accordance with Virginia law, all 15 year old employees must apply for and receive a work permit before they can begin working. If you will not be 16 by Saturday, May 27, 2024 please read the steps below and follow all directions in order to apply for and receive your work permit on time.

1. Register between April 25 and May 5, visit https://vaeecs.doli.virginia.gov and fill out Step 1: Youth Registration (This should be done from your email address. Not your parent’s email address). You will be given a youth identifier number.
2. Send your youth identifier number to info@crystalaquatics.com.
3. Upload Documents - For Crystal Aquatics to process your work permit we will need a copy of your birth certificate and a copy of your lifeguard certification. Please upload these documents to your Paychex account.
4. Employer Application - Once we have your unique identifier number and documents we will be able to submit for your work permit, Step 2: Employer Registration.
5. Guardian Approval - The final step is for the parent/guardian to complete Step 3: Parent, Guardian, Custodian Registration. Your guardian will have to use a different email address than the one you used for Step 1.
Staff Preseason Meeting
Your pool manager will reach out via text the week or two before Memorial Day about the presseason staff meeting. At this meeting you will meet your pool manager, coworkers, supervisor and community representatives and you will receive your uniform and schedule for the first two weeks. It is very important that you attend this meeting to start the season off on the right foot.
